Attention all designers, t-shirt fanatics and creative people who like a challenge, AS Colour’s Little Help Project is back again for 2010. The Little Help project is more than just another t-shirt design contest; the first prize is a complete start up package for a new t-shirt label. Once again we are offering 400 of our popular AS5002 Paper and AS4002 Wafer t-shirts plus all printing and custom re-labelling costs. That works out to be about NZ $10,000 worth of wholesale products and services, which is a pretty serious chunk of start-up cash. If you’ve got the front, we’ve got your back so dust off your sketchbook or laptop and get busy, your t-shirt design fantasies might just get to be realised. The design template is now available to download here (log in required) and entries close on the 1st of October 2010.

AS Colour first came across the work of Rob Wallace soon after the first Little Help project in 2009.  A rumour started circulating that a young Auckland designer had made a short animation based on the Little Help project for their course work. We were intrigued but after trying to track him down all leads dissolved into nothing.  Months later we managed to make contact and finally got to see the self-initiated piece he had created.  It was very good, so good in fact that we asked him to do it again in 2010 but this time we actually get to use it to launch Little Help version 2. Rob’s animation is a kind of fantastical journey through the creative process of designing a t-shirt print, we suggest you watch it a couple of times, it’s worth it.  Thanks Rob!
