Re: LHP2 Stats
Now that the Top 10 finalists have been revealed I thought I should post a list of the judges shortlist. These were the entries chosen by each judge as part of their final cut so a lot of these designers almost made it through.

We are working on posting a Flickr file showing one design from every entry but it might take a while get it up and on the site.

If you're on the list below you should be pretty stoked.

Stockholm Syndrome
Katie Zanich
The Goodness

S.A.F.E
Straight & Arrow
King Patrick
A is For

Re: LHP2 Stats

A few people have emailed me asking for some critique or feedback from the judges regarding their LHP entry, especially younger designers who are just starting out. I think it's a good point so I will ask the judges if they can give an overview on the entries as a whole along with why they picked the designs they chose.

Between our 3 judges there is a massive amount of experience and wisdom. Steve R from Parinto has designed tee prints for international skate and streetwear labels, Frankie magazine's Lara Burke is hugely influential in Australian design and Eddie Zammit's T-World magazine is the most respected t-shirt design publication in the world, AS Colour was very lucky to have them on board.

All of these guys are constantly looking at t-shirts so they have a great eye for fresh talent and new ideas, that's why we chose them pare all the entries back to 10. The brief that we gave them was based on 4 criteria:

Design
Concept
Originality
Commercial Viability

How they defined each aspect of this criteria was up to each judge, the brief was deliberately left quite open ended so they could apply their own tastes and opinions. A few people have asked why AS Colour didn't choose the top 10 but that's like getting the guy at an art supply shop to judge an art contest; we do great blank tees but we don't know the first think about t-shirt design! Believe me we are very happy with the final top 10 and think the judges really came through this year.

Once I get a bit of feedback back from the judges I will post it up here, the top 10 tees should be on sale shortly too.
